Hey, guys. It's Jake here with Etrailer. Today, we have a 2023 Audi Q5, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install the Etrailer class three two-inch hitch receiver. Adding a two-inch hitch receiver to the back of your Audi Q5 is gonna allow you to carry bike racks, cargo carriers, or if you get the wiring kit too, maybe even tow small trailers. The back of our Q5 has got a little bit of room for storage, but if you go on those longer trips and you wanna haul bulkier items like a cooler or some larger luggage, a cargo carrier is gonna be much easier to tie everything down onto, and you can bring that much more stuff. The other thing is is that it'd be very, very difficult to fit a bike in the back of an Audi, and if you've tried, you probably already know that. more

Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver Installation - 2023 Audi SQ5- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Stealth Hitch rack receiver kit on a 2023 Audi SQ5. Now this is what your hitch will look like when it's installed and you may be wondering, well, where is it And that's where it gets the name Stealth Hitch because when you're not using your hitch, it's going to give you a completely factory look because the receiver block is hitting right here behind the fascia. And so when you are ready to load up accessories it's as simple as turning a knob back, locking that in place, and putting in your two inch receiver tube opening. And with that lock in place you're ready to start using your hitch. Now with your two inch receiver tube opening in place you're ready to load up your bike rack or cargo carrier and it's gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. Now this is not included with the hitch installation kit but it is required to get your accessories in place and a lot of times your accessories will come with one if you want to pick up a locking version that's pretty nice to have if you plan on leaving those accessories on. more

Now, this is what your hitch looks like installed on your Audi, and you're probably saying, "Well, where is it" And the great part about the Stealth Hitch is it lives up to the name Stealth because when you're not using it, you don't have to have your receiver or your ball mount in place, and that's gonna make it nice and easy, whenever you're ready to go, to take that portion, slide it up, and have it ready to go. Now, the tow kit comes with this two-inch receiver tube opening, which is gonna be really nice for your cargo carriers or bike racks. Now this is gonna be available in two different configurations. So if you're planning on towing trailer, you do wanna pick up the tow kit as it does give you a ball that you can hook up to your trailer as well as safety chain loops and the wiring for hooking up that plug. Now we just have the standard rack receiver kit and so I'll show you some of the cool features. Now Audi's by nature tend to be a little bit more of a sporty car and they're luxury so you want it to look really good, but adding a hitch to your vehicle also gives you some ways to get your bike racks or cargo carriers around. And the way that this one accomplishes it is having the receiver tube opening be separate from the hitch. more

Our neighbor here, got this hitch because they're gonna be putting a bike rack on it using it mostly for a bike rack. However, being a class three it's gonna have a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, so they decide they wanna tow something later on, they're more than capable of using this hitch to do that. We've currently got it installed now and you can't even tell that it's there. I bet you didn't even know at home that we had a hitch on here but the end is removable from the crossbar and it simply clicks into place. Our receiver end just goes right up into the hitch and there it is. You want to press it in the lock on the other side before using your hitch, but now you've got a two inch by two inch receiver for all of your accessory needs.And the cool thing about the Stealth hitch and what gives it its name is that when you're done using your hitch, we twist the lever, the end drops out, you can store it in the compartment at the back of your vehicle and you look factory once again like you don't even have a hitch down there. more

Since it is a Class III hitch, it's going to offer us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is really going to give us the widest varieties of accessories that we can use for our hitch.Obviously, everybody knows you can put a ball mount in here, tow a trailer, maybe we want to go down to the lake, take a jet ski or a boat with us, but it's also going to allow us to transport some bikes. If we want to take a bike ride with some friends we can put a bike rack in there, or if we just need to make some room on the inside, we can put a cargo carrier back here and lose some of that gear to the outside of our Audi.Regardless of how we're going to be using our hitch, though, all of our accessories are going to mount to the hitch pin hole here on the side. more

Many Q5 owners use their SUVs to do a little bit of everything. Whether it's a little bit of towing, maybe using a cargo carrier while you're on a road trip with the family, or even a bike rack to hit the trails with a few friends, this hitch is going to be a great solution for you to be able to enjoy the activities.Now for the most part, the hitch is pretty visible. However, it is tucked back quite a ways underneath the bumper, and so it is going to blend in, especially when it's on the ground. Ryan: How's it going, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today, on our 2012 Audi A5, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CURT class 1 trailer hitch receiver. Now, even though the hitch does sit further back, the receiver tube opening is actually going to give us some pretty good clearance. It's just going to sit right behind our plastic bumper and that's going to work perfectly for those folding accessories like bike racks. This is a class 1 hitch, so it's going to have that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. And it's also going to have a reinforced collar for extra strength. more

And since it is a class three, it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. So we're going to have the widest variety of accessories that we can put in here.If we need to make a little bit more room, we could put a cargo carrier in. Put some of that gear on the outside of our vehicle, making room for passengers or pets. more

Today on your 2014 Audi Q7, we're going to be installing Draw-Tite, Class 3, 2 inch trailer hitch receiver. This is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed.The cross tube is going to be completely hidden behind the bumper so you're only going to be able to see the receiver tube sticking out the back here. It's a Class 3, 2 inch by 2 inch receiver so it's going to be great for all of your towing needs. Whether you're just loading up some bikes on a bike rack for the weekend or if you're going to hit the lake, you can pull your boat behind it as well.The hitch will us a 5/8th inch hitch pinning clip, now one doesn't come included with your hitch but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com. You'll have plate style safety chain loops that are going to vertical down here below your receiver. So here's what out hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube is going to be completely hidden behind the rear bumper and all we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out.Our receiver tube is going to be pretty close to being flush with our rear bumper, so we're not going to have to worry about hitting our leg when we walk behind our Audi. It is a Class 3 hitch, which means it's going to give us that 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening. We're going to have a wide variety of options for any kind of accessory we want to mount up.Now the way we're going to mount any of our accessories is through the hitch pin hole here towards the front of our Audi. Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Audi Q5, you're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install, the Draw-Tite Class 3 Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76183.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. You can see it's going to have a reinforced collar, give you a little bit extra stability on the receiver tube. It's got a nice rounded edge, so it fits with the contour of the vehicle. You can see the hitch does not stick out past of the outer edge of our bumper fascia. So we're not going to have to worry about hitting our legs or our shins on it when loading and unloading the back of the vehicle.It's going to have a nice black powder coat finish to resist any rust or corrosion. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Audi SQ5- Video

Speaker 2: Today in this 2017 Audi SQ5, we will be having a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class 111 Trailer Hitch receiver, part number 75940.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. First thing you'll notice about this hitch is that it's designed to work inside the factory cutout in the bumper, and it does that nicely with no trimming or modification required, so it does give us a nice clean look. Many of our customers on our website has said they've purchased this hitch for their Q5 or their SQ5 in order to use it with bike racks and cargo carriers, and they've all said it has worked great for them, with plenty of clearance around the fascia, and it allows them bring all their gear with them when they go on the road.One of the questions that we do get on our website is, if the vehicle is equipped with backup sensors like this one, is that with the bike rack installed on the hitch, will the backup sensors be activated And the answer is yes, but that's only when you have the vehicle in reverse, and that's because the bike rack will be right in front of the sensor and it's going to set up the proximity warning. But when you're driving down the road, going straight in drive, you don't have to worry, there'll be no beeps or warnings or any alert messages on the dash. Everything will be just like normal.On the side of our receiver, you'll find two pin holes, the larger one closest to the front, that's your industry standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole for use with a pin and clip to secure your hitch mounted accessories. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Audi Q7- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2010 Audi Q7, we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt Class III trailer hitch receiver, part number 13220.All right, here's what our hitch looks like installed. You'll notice that it sits inside the pocket where our factory hitch would be, if it was equipped with one, and you can trim out the panel here, what covers up where the factory hitch would be, to fit around it nicely. Give us a nice, clean look, and almost looks like a factory hitch. On the side of the receiver you'll find our industry standard five eighths of an inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories that we may have. At the end of our receiver, near this nice welded on collar to help improve the looks of it, give it more of a finished look, and help increase the strength and durability of the receiver itself. Just behind our hitch pin hole, we have our safety chain hooks right here. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Audi A4, we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the Draw-Tite Class I Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number: DT24950. So here's what our hitch looks like once we have it installed. The crossbar is gonna tuck up behind the bumper nicely, and all we're really gonna see is the receiver tube sticking out, so it's not gonna take away from our Audi. Now, it is a Class I hitch, which means it's gonna give us that 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube opening, which is gonna be great for a lot of different accessories like cargo carriers or bike racks. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Audi Q5, we're gonna be taking a look at showing you how to install the Curt custom-fit class-three trailer hitch receiver, part number C13331.Here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. What I really like about this is the cross tube's gonna be completely hidden and all we're gonna see is the receiver tube sticking out, so it's not gonna take away from the looks of our Audi. It is a class three hitch, which means it's gonna give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and as we can see it has a nice reinforced collar, not only giving it added strength, but a nice finished look.Now right here, we're gonna have our hitch pinhole and it's gonna use a standard 5/8 pinning clip. Now, it doesn't come with one but you can pick one up on our website using part number PC3 and as we can see, on both sides we're gonna have plenty of room whether you use a standard pin and clip or if you choose to get a locking pin and clip or even an anti-rattle device.So the safety chain connection points, it's gonna be a loop style welded to the bottom, and as you can see we're not gonna have any trouble getting most sized hooks on or off since there's plenty of room in here.Our hitch is gonna have a 750 pound tongue weight, along with a 5000 pound gross trailer weight rating. Now I do want to mention, you always want to double check the owner's manual of your Q5 to make sure you don't exceed the rating of your car.Now I'd like to give you a few measurements to help you in decided for accessories for your new hitch, such as a ball mount, bike rack, or even a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper, it's gonna be right about two and a half inches. more
